Kristen Rose Miller brings to Tech Image nearly a decade of journalism, PR and marketing experience specializing in bottom-line results for B2B communications. Prior to Tech Image, Kristen launched and managed a PR & Marketing department for a $350 million logistics company. Additionally, Kristen served as an Account Manager and publicist at the nation’s leading PR firm specializing in the franchise industry.
In her spare time, Kristen stays true to her journalism roots and is a freelance reporter for community newspaper, the Lake County Journal. Kristen received a B.A. in communication/journalism from Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL.
What is Your Favorite Success Story?
As an avid equestrian for more than 20 years, I regularly compete in horse shows with my beloved ex-racehorse Indigo Blue. Mr. Blue, now 23 years of age, is at least a decade, and a few aches and pains, past his prime. Despite this fact, in our most recent horse show we received the Grand Champion accolade. Although competing against horses much younger (and much more expensive), the success we found reinforces my belief that it’s the will to succeed that makes the difference. As Vince Lombardi put it, “The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will."
What are your Hobbies and Interests?
As mentioned above, I ride horses. I also spend a lot of time hanging out with my dogs, Percy the Rottweiler and Isabella the Shitzu-Cocker Spaniel. Although a workaholic by inclination and design, when I allow myself time to unwind, trips to St. Augustine, Florida, 19th Century English literature, spa treatments and watching football (GO GATORS) are all favorites of mine.
What is the Title of the Last Good Book You Read?
The White Queen. It’s a Phillippa Gregory novel that brings to life the history of Elizabeth Woodville (wife of Edward IV) and talks about the drama that ensues when the Houses of Lancaster and York are blended through marriage. Hint: I have a history minor and an unrelenting obsession with European royal history.
Who are Your Favorite Recording Artists?
People who actually write their own music…enough said!
What are your Favorite TV Shows?
This is a cruel question considering my favorite shows were recently cancelled! They were 24 and The Tudors. Besides the occasional rerun, or a few teeny bopper shows I won’t admit to watching, I try to stay away from television.
Why are you a Good Fit at Tech Image?
I’ve always tended to be a quick learner, which would leave me seeking new professional challenges too rapidly. At Tech Image, there is such an astounding wealth of knowledge and experience that I’m constantly learning, applying, and reapplying new ways that I can better serve our clients.
