Kevin brings more than 30 years of experience as a media professional to Tech Image, both as a broadcast and print journalist, and in media relations and PR. As a media relations practitioner, Kevin's ability to be flexible, versatile and a quick learner has served him well throughout his career as he represented a myriad of diverse business interests. At Tech Image, Kevin specializes in data management issues within the supply chain and the enterprise. He also has extensive experience with healthcare, search engines, online marketing and e-learning clients.

Johnson started his career in television news in Champaign and Springfield, IL. He has handled media relations and PR for a sports marketing firm promoting professional golf. He spent five years as a Public Information Officer with the Illinois Department of Revenue, the State of Illinois ' tax agency. He also gained valuable crisis communications skills in a two-year stint as the Media Relations Manager for Amtrak's Intercity business unit, based in Chicago. And for eight years, he was on the ground floor and led the media relations efforts of a healthcare entrepreneurial effort that resulted in the first ever FDA-approved, over-the-counter anonymous at-home tests for HIV and Hepatitis C at Home Access Health of Hoffman Estates, Ill.

What is Your Favorite Success Story?
One of our longest-served and larger clients decided to totally switch the focus of its PR program. It went from targeting industrial end-users to focusing solely on marketing and e-publishing. We were able to successfully pull off the strategic change and, in fact, won a Golden Trumpet Award from the Publicity Club of Chicago for our efforts.

Personally, I am quite proud of the success of my two sons. The first has already graduated from, and the other is still studying at, the University of Illinois, which also is my alma mater. That's why I'm wearing the orange wristband in my photo. Oskee Wow Wow!

What Are Your Hobbies and Interests?
I like going to games - pro, college, high school and even grade school, if I know somebody's kid. I get a big kick out of attending a major sporting event and then reading the papers the next day to compare my take on the game with the sportswriters. If I'm not there live, then I'm usually glued to the tube when my favorite teams are on. I play hoops during the winter, and in the summer, I play a lot of golf and, for some reason, I'm still playing competitive softball (and winning) against teams that are much, much younger. We keep saying every year will be our last. And I LOVE going to the movies.

What are the titles of some good books you’ve read recently?
Write it When I'm Gone by journalist Tom DeFrank, a compilation of interviews with President Gerald Ford that were to be published ONLY after he passed away. The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson, a fascinating parallel story of the City of Chicago during the World's Columbian Exposition in 1893 and a devious serial killer that operated in the midst of it all.

Who Are Your Favorite Recording Artists?
Yes. (Get it?) No, really, The Who is my favorite rock and roll (or is it maximum R&B?) band. But I also would rank Pink Floyd as 1B. I'm a product of the classic rock era, which is great now that satellite radio is a reality.

What are your favorite TV Shows?
Any game featuring my favorite teams. ESPN SportsCenter, of course. Comedy specials, 30 Rock and The Office. And whatever adult series they run on HBO or Showtime. I still bump into the occasional CSI. (They use Who songs for the intro, you know.) The show I wish was still on is the "Tonight Show with Johnny Carson," God rest his soul. He will always be my television idol.

Why Are You a Good Fit at Tech Image? Because I think I share the "let's roll up our sleeves and get after it" attitude of my colleagues. It's a wonderful team effort. And any one of us will run through a brick wall to get the job done.
