Lawren concentrates on media relations and analyst relations for several clients, and has worked with a wide variety of technologies over the course of his five years at Tech Image. He has extensive experience generating client coverage in media segments including national media, green/sustainable, supply chain, retail, tech trades, IT channel, CRM, consumer electronics, storage and virtualization specialty media, and more. Prior to joining Tech Image, Lawren had 14 years of experience in editorial pitching from the vendor's perspective.  At ViewSonic, a $1 billion high-tech firm, Lawren helped refine the awards submission process which contributed to ViewSonic's total of 1,000 industry awards.  His years of press tours, interviews, and editorial appointments give him an awareness of newsworthy angles and approaches that satisfy both the reporter and the Tech Image client.  In 2007, PRSourceCode recognized Lawren as one of the top 25 technology PR

professionals in the country, based on the votes of 300 reporters and editors.

What is Your Favorite Success Story?
Recently, we took a “big picture” approach to pitching a client to Investor’s Business Daily. Rather than focus on the client product in isolation, I highlighted the growth of the digital advertising market, and how our client was facilitating market growth with its solutions strategy. I lined up supporting analysts, solutions partners, users, and statistics from our client to package the complete story for the writer. He liked the pitch, and decided to write the story, which portrayed our client as a market leader

and market-maker.

What Are Your Hobbies and Interests?
In my free time, I am serving a two-year appointment to the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy and also sit on the board of directors for Altadena Foothills Conservancy. Both of those positions allow me to help preserve open, natural lands for hiking, recreation, and wildlife habitat. Composing and recording music also are favorite hobbies, and I like to play guitar and bass. I also hike, ride horses and enjoy

the mountains and the ocean.

What is the Title of the Last Good Book You Read?

I Am America and So Can You by Stephen Colbert. It’s a very funny read, especially if you know his delivery style from his TV show. His advice on raising a family is particularly dangerous because I’m a new dad.  Additionally, I love satire and he is nearly perfect in his execution, while delivering some of the best and most needed

political commentary of our time.

Why Are You a Good Fit at Tech Image?
I enjoy thinking of new angles to pitch a story and I’m comfortable with editors. I know what a client wants from its PR team based on my experience as a vendor. I

also contribute to our clients’ ability to win magazine awards.
