Dan McDonnell
Account Specialist

At Tech Image, Dan is in charge of reporting and data analytics, and he provides additional support to the Account Services team. He is directly responsible for maintaining the Tech Image Dashboards, which are used to provide accurate and timely reporting for Tech Image clients. Dan is also the Webmaster of the Tech Image web site. Dan is a recent graduate from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where he obtained a B.S. in Advertising and a minor in English.

What is Your Favorite Success Story?
In college, I entered a campus-wide competition to promote a client’s product, drawing influence from an art exhibit, speculative product design and my own imagination. The result was a sardonic, dystopian look at what kind of future a certain coffee empire might have in store for us. I ended up winning the competition, and had my work displayed as part of the aforementioned art exhibit.

What Are Your Hobbies and Interests?

My first and greatest passion is reading. I love The Economist and the WSJ, and I’m partial to graphic novels, sci-fi & fantasy literature, and the classics. I golf casually, attend as many live concerts as I can, am an admirer of all things aquatic (swimming, water polo, boating, water-skiing, the beach), and consider myself a bit of a video-game geek.

What is the Title of the Last Good Book You Read?
Atlas Shrugged. Even at well over 1,000 pages, Ayn Rand’s chef d-oeuvre is incredibly gripping and intellectually stimulating. Agree or not with her worldview, I consider this a must-read for everyone.

Who Are Your Favorite Recording Artists?
I am very open-minded when it comes to music. My all-time favorite band is Radiohead. My usual iPod rotation features loads of electonica and trip-hop music, and a touch of blues rock. I love discovering new music, and can rarely be found without my headphones nearby.

What Are Your Favorite TV Shows?
I was extremely sorry to see The Sopranos end last year. I'm now filling the void with the intriguing (and addicting) Lost, and I eagerly await the darkly funny Dexter to return for a third season.

I've been a loyal South Park fan for a quite some time. I don't often miss an episode of The Office, and love when I can catch the occasional rerun of Futurama or Da Ali G Show.  Next on my list to watch are The Wire, Mad Men and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Why Are You a Good Fit at Tech Image?
I am eager to learn and quick to pick up new things. I am applying my ‘nose to the grindstone’ mentality and commitment to personal accountability in supporting my colleagues and providing consistent and effective service to our clients. My ability to multi-task and my flexible nature seem to fit right in to the dynamic environment that Tech Image cultivates.
